Principles

  1. The child comes first. Every student is a child. Their safety and privacy outrank any feature, metric or deadline (ADR-009).
  2. A game, not a test. Exercises feel like play. Failure is never scary or blaming ("Pop! Just confetti.").
  3. Measure to help the teacher. Interaction data exists to show a teacher where a child is and what to do next. It is never used for ads, sold or shared.
  4. Built for the classroom. Fast logins, works on the school's network and PCs, and degrades gracefully when something fails mid-lesson.
  5. Precision drawn by hand. One design language, DL-01, across the company page, the app, the games and these docs.
  6. Start at zero, scale when it pays. Free and self-hosted first, with a clear upgrade path at every layer. No feature should need a rewrite to grow.
